Pirates went to the ocean, fighting the thunderstorm for it.
Nobleman sacrificed their knights, hunting down the El Dorado to own it.
And there you were,
trying to hide in plain sight, while shinning so brightly it's blinding.
A treasure.
I was today years old when I learnt that diamond could be in the form of human being.
It's almost impossible not to notice you,
to see the gentleness that you share
so genuinely
I could almost touch.
Hugged by the warmness that you radiate,
I was mesmerized,
unable to function for a moment.
'It will get by'
I said as a promise to myself.
To reassure myself not to be blinded.
But every now and then,
every time our path was bound to cross ever so slightly,
just so slightly so it wont hurt any other party,
still I tried my best to hold my ground,
not to buckle and melt down before you.
I don't deserve to have you,
the almighty god of fate had made sure of that,
and at that exact moment,
like a lightning struck the sky
I know
I owe you at least a letter,
A treasure to keep.
